In this dream…

Find here all the stories from my archive. Attempting to stay as close to the source material as possible, they are all directly inspired by the craziest dreams I’ve had in the past years.

Published once a month. Hopefully.

What is “In this dream…”?

For the past 10 years or so, I have kept dream journals, notebooks filled with the products of my untamed imagination.

I write down and sketch the dreams I have, down to the most insignificant details and precise conversations. They have always been very strange and vivid; stories of brutal pirates, evil monsters, fiery romances, vicious vampires, feuding courts, car chases, princesses, kings, dragons, apocalypses. And surprisingly a lot of zombies. Like, a lot.

I will admit that most of these stories do not make any sense whatsoever, as most dreams do. However, I always try to write them down as coherently as possible, making sense out of the few details I remember.

My dreams are always so vivid and emotionally-charged that I wake up feeling like I left a piece of me behind. So to bring them to life again, I write and build a story around the few moments that I cherished.

At this point I must have filled thousands and thousands of pages with sketches, words, songs, prayers, poems. All crumbs of the life I lived in my sleep. I always kept them tucked away between the pages of my notebooks and sketchbooks, safely hidden away from the scrutiny of the public eye. I always thought that no one would care enough to read them, the fear of judgement prevented me from letting anyone read them.

It is just in the last few years that I started making something out of them. I started turning the dreams into short stories, only letting my friends read them. Their encouragement and feedback was and still is extremely valuable to me, so thank you ❤

Because how fun is writing if you don’t share it with the world?

Fire on Fire

A love broken by duty, a friendship ruined by tragedy, a kingdom torn by war.

And a traitor among friends that threatens to ruin them all.
